Run to me Jun 18th, 2004 12:08:47 am EST
OK, guilty pleasure day. Something that I am going to admit that is a little embarassing: I listen to the Bee Gees. Yes, the Gibb brothers. To me they have awesome lyrics and timeless harmonies. Why is this a guilty pleasure? Well, to many of my friends this is very much out of character for me.

This is the Bee Gees, and for me this is one of their best songs.

Run to Me

If ever you got rain in your heart,
someone has hurt you, and torn you apart,
am I unwise to open up your eyes to love me?

And let it be like they said it would be -
me loving you girl, and you loving me.
Am I unwise to open up your eyes to love me?

Run to me whenever you're lonely. (to love me)
Run to me if you need a shoulder
Now and then, you need someone older,
so darling, you run to me.

And when you're out in the cold,
no one beside you, and no one to hold,
am I unwise to open up your eyes to love me?

And when you've got nothing to lose,
nothing to pay for, nothing to choose,
am I unwise to open up your eyes to love me

Run to me whenever you're lonely. (to love me)
Run to me if you need a shoulder
Now and then you need someone older,
so darling, you run to me.

I love the Bee Gees early stuff, I only started to like them about five years ago and now their greatest hits album has to be one of my favourite's.

Oh god yes. The BeeGees destroy me. I love them to distraction, beyond guilt and shame. They are....too much heaven. wink.gif

You mean it's freaky to like the Bee Gees? We listened to them a lot in high school-and i went to high school in the '90s!

I went to high school in the late 80's, and it was considered too disco to listen to the Bee Gees. They were played on the same station as Barry Manilow.
